About
Alvin Go is an Australian pianist, recording artist, and a retired Colonel.
At the age of three, he took up lessons with his father. At the age of eight, he made his first public performance at a local musical show.
After serving with the Australian Military Police, he switched to radio broadcasting and helped host "Men With Keyboard", a "serious and informative program" on Australia's Radio 2FM.
He later took up exercise and running and ran his first marathon at the age of 40.
Dedicated to physical fitness, he ran the Melbourne City Marathon in 2003 and the Adelaide City Marathon in 2005. He is now training for the Melbourne City Marathon again and completing his first 10km run last weekend.
His running has transformed him physically as well as mentally and he runs five times a week.
Through running and training, he's found that he can push his body beyond limits and feels a sense of accomplishment.
He's decided to share his passion for running and fitness with the world through the popular marathon training program Running Programs.
Each chapter of Running Programs guides readers to practice "how to run better and how to be faster". He guides runners in setting achievable goals and consistently improving their speed and results.
